Multiple Exposure Film Project

Film Exposures

Contact Sheet

Christmas Ornaments
Since I have a newer camera, I can choose how many exposures I want and the camera does it automatically. This picture has 4 exposures of four different ornaments on my Christmas tree.
Conway Truck
For this one, I took a picture of the road first and then I took a picture of a Conway truck from the front. I like the transparent look of the truck.
Double Me
I used the same technique for this picture as I did for my self portraits. I think this one is pretty funny.
Double Sahana
For this one, I asked my sister to stand in one spot under direct light for the first exposure. For the second exposure, I didn't move the camera, but my sister moved over and made a face at herself.
Piano Music
In this double exposure, I took a shot of the piano from an angle first. Then I took a picture of piano music for the second exposure. This is my favorite picture from this roll.
Wolf
I really like the look of this double exposure. The background exposure is of a waterfall and mountain landscape.

Negative Sandwiches
I printed these pictures by putting two negatives on top of each other in the enlarger and combining the images. This is one way to make a multiple exposure.

Multiple Exposure Digital Project

I made these multiple exposures on photoshop. I did it by layering the pictures and blending them together. I took the color pictures on my phone and I used pictures from previous projects for the black and white images.

Self Portrait Project

Contact Sheet

This is a picture of my reflection in the mirror. It came out perfectly in focus and the print came out great.

This is also a picture of my reflection. I used a tripod and I used my sister to help me focus on something before I took the picture.

For all of my self portrait pictures I used a tripod and a 10 second timer. This is one of my favorite picture from this roll.

I like the expression on my face and the direct lighting. I am glad that it didn't wash my face out.

I really like this picture. I like how it is lighted and in focus.

This is another one of my favorites. Everything is perfectly in focus and in perfect lighting.

Portrait Project

Contact Sheet

Sahana
I went to the park near the Oregon Zoo to take pictures of my sister. For this one I just asked her to look somewhere other than the camera.

I really like how this picture turned out. She is perfectly in focus and the lighting is very nice.

For this one, I asked her to look straight into the camera. I think it is one of the best prints from this project.

The lighting is bright, but it did not over expose her face. I'm glad the print came out fine.
Tara

I took these pictures of my friend at the Lewis&Clark swim pool. I just told her to make a face at something for this shot.

I like the expression on her face in this picture. The lighting was flat, so I am glad that there is still some direct light on her face.

Light Project

Contact Sheet
Rose
This is the best picture from this roll. I like the lighting and the contrast between the light and dark. I also like the reflection on the bottom.
Bouquet of Roses
This bouquet was lit the same way as the rose above. The light gives the texture to the leaves and it is not too dark.
Roosters
I put these two rooster figurines in front of the light to create a silhouette. I think it is a good picture because the outline of the shape is visible but the whole figure isn't.
Flower Bouquet
This is also a silhouette. I took this picture using the same technique as above. The light I used is behind the subject, which makes it dark and shows only the outline.

Processed
These pictures were cross processed on photoshop. I curved the red, green and blue and adjusted the brightness and contrast. The original is how it came out from the print and the processed is after photoshop.

Tilt-shift

These are my tilt-shift photo. The technique is to take a picture of something taken from above and blur the background and foreground. The effect is that the subject looks miniature and toylike. The first picture is of deer in a zoo. The second one is an elephant taking a bath in the river. The last two pictures are of people on the Tualatin field.

First Project

Playground Steps
I took this from above the play structure at Alberta Rider Elementary school. The print came out perfectly. I like it a lot better in black and white.

A Line of Trees
This is a pathway of trees near my house. I like how the trees recede into the background. I think this is a pretty cool picture.

The Hidden Shadow
I like this one because there is this mysterious shadow of a girl on the side. Well, maybe not so mysterious. But it came out really clear and the lighting was perfect.

Triangle Monkey Bars
This is one of my favorite pictures from my first roll of film. I really like the composition and how the first bar is blurry and the second one is in focus and the rest are out of focus. It's great and I like the darkness of it.

A Tree on the Sidewalk
This picture looked great as a negative and came out perfectly. The tree came out just like I wanted. This is the pathway to Alberta Rider.
