Portrait Project

Contact Sheet

Sahana
I went to the park near the Oregon Zoo to take pictures of my sister. For this one I just asked her to look somewhere other than the camera.

I really like how this picture turned out. She is perfectly in focus and the lighting is very nice.

For this one, I asked her to look straight into the camera. I think it is one of the best prints from this project.

The lighting is bright, but it did not over expose her face. I'm glad the print came out fine.
Tara

I took these pictures of my friend at the Lewis&Clark swim pool. I just told her to make a face at something for this shot.

I like the expression on her face in this picture. The lighting was flat, so I am glad that there is still some direct light on her face.

Light Project

Contact Sheet
Rose
This is the best picture from this roll. I like the lighting and the contrast between the light and dark. I also like the reflection on the bottom.
Bouquet of Roses
This bouquet was lit the same way as the rose above. The light gives the texture to the leaves and it is not too dark.
Roosters
I put these two rooster figurines in front of the light to create a silhouette. I think it is a good picture because the outline of the shape is visible but the whole figure isn't.
Flower Bouquet
This is also a silhouette. I took this picture using the same technique as above. The light I used is behind the subject, which makes it dark and shows only the outline.
